First Impressions: Arata Kangatari

Why so serious?

I don't really know what to post. So, I thought of posting some of my first impressions. Arata Kangatari is one of the anime in Spring 2013. This starts from a manga by Yuu Watase.

I already read the manga so I'm having a difficult time. Who knows, I might spoil the anime.

Hinohara Arata, who lives in the modern world, has been bullied in middle school. He's quite athletic although he didn't join the track and field club. Masato Kadowaki's irritated face is shown in the anime. Hinohara overheard his friend saying that they were never friends from the start. Bearing a bitter feeling, he wishes to disappear.

Meanwhile, the other Arata that lives in another world, must pretend as a girl. At first, he didn't want to but he didn't have a choice.

Some kind of trap...

While the ceremony is going on, the twelve Shinsho murdered the princess when they're supposed to protect her. Kannagi (one of the Shinsho) passed the blame on Arata. Arata runs away to Kando Forest which results to Hinohara and Arata being switched.

Hinohara, in place of Arata is being attacked. He is saved by the girl named Kotoha who is like a sister to Arata. She brings Hinohara to the village.

Arata's Granny and Hinohara talked about Hinohara's case and how he is not the Arata that they know. Suddenly, Kannagi enters the house and takes Kotoha as a hostage. They told them that Arata is not there but Kannagi wouldn't believe it.

Hinohara is in a confused state because he don't want to trust anyone anymore. But then, he goes out beacuse he can't stand a girl dying.

Sensing the danger with his sixth sense, he grabs the rusted sword. The sword is called Hayagami. And that's the first time he weild Tsukuyo.

All in all, the story is about how Arata Hinohara lives his life taking down the enemies and protecting his important people, sort of an action. And Arata living his life into a world which is new to him.
